Today's the day! Our Member Spotlight goes to Alberto Rodriguez-Garcia. Alberto is entering his senior year as a double major in International Business and Finance. This summer, Alberto is continuing his internship at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Financial Business Operations intern in Pasadena, CA. He also serves as our chapter's Finance Assistant. Nice work, Alberto!
"I started my internship at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in March, and I have been given the privilege to continue working here until I graduate next spring. As a Financial Business Operations intern, I was chosen to be a part of and support the Low Density Supersonic Decelerator mission, which is a research and development project aiming to enhance the scope of planetary exploration in our solar system and beyond. Even though the core of my work involves financial management and analysis, I have and will continue to gain insight into the unique organizational structure and processes of JPL. The work that is done here not only excites and intrigues me, but it also gives my daily tasks meaning and significance. During my time here, I have learned that it is important to be dynamic and adaptive to changing circumstances and variables in any line of work, and that effective, cross-functional and vertical communication is vital to an organization’s success."
